Sometimes when she sleeps, she hears noises in the darkness.... noises that are not really noises at all so much as sensations she can hear with her mind. The heavens caught fire.
Each planet and star
Was seduced by the treacherous Earth
And each in turn died in flame
Attempting to possess her.

From this destruction
Neptune alone was spared.

With an oblivion cape
All tied up in tide

I slept on a tall, sugary cake
That was being blown

By the twentieth wind.

When I was a little girl, I really liked to think that fairies and elves would come and play around with all the normal everyday household objects when no one was looking, possibly because normality was every bit as enchanting to fairy folk as magical objects would be to us humans. These two fairies, modeled after `Elandria and ~Odessa11stock, are having fun playing with an abandoned cup of tea while the mortal denizens of the house are going about their business elsewhere. Other stock used to help create this piece from clipart.com.
