This piece was actually specially done with the intent of sending a print of it to my mother for Christmas. She is a Libra, and has often mentioned really wanting to see me do a more traditional version of Blind Justice because of the scales, of course, so that's basically the story behind this. I thought I'd finally do this for her without mentioning it and then just let the print show up in the mail as a surprise. Stock used to help create this piece comes from *mjranum-stock for the figure and the background, and shutterstock.com for the doves. |
