Artist's Comments
This piece I created to enter in the "Dragon Wars" contest ~ehtele-stock (the dragons) and *mizzd-stock (the witches) are holding. The theme called for at least one piece of each of their stock to be used, and for it to be about... well.... dragons at war in some way, but it could be interpreted however we chose. I used two pieces of each person's stock as you can see. Background comes from *Sweet-Darkness-Stock. I chose to illustrate the eternal battle between the head and the heart. The white witch represents the head... cool, collected, focused. The red witch represents the heart... fiery, free, wild. They are battling for control of the psyche as represented by the star that hovers in between the two dragons they have conjured to carry out the battle itself. Of course, they could probably get more done if they worked together and combined their individual attributes, but since when does anyone's head or heart know that?
