With Halloween time coming up, I felt like going back and doing a piece or two that had a little more of a dark feeling to it. This image is loosely based on the unsolved case of Jack the Ripper, a personality I've always been fascinated by while simultaneously having nightmares about him. It's interesting how those things work. This deviation is a digital painting. Stock models used include ~Cobweb-stock as the Gentleman and `lockstock as the Unfortunate Dead. The alleyway and the lamp post are from stock photos found at clipart.com.

that's cool :-) don't like the shadow on the girl though, it kind of looks like she's floating off the ground :?

Hee hee... no you're not being picky. I like to know if something doesn't look right in these things, so feel free to tell me. I'll take a look at it in the morning when I'm mostly conscious and see if I can't fix that.

Thank you! I tend to be pretty fascinated with the idea of killers, too, even though my artwork rarely reflects that. Every once in awhile, I like to pull one of these out of my hat though and surprise people.
