This is a piece inspired by the movie Lady In The Water, and by "inspired by", I mean just that as opposed to "based on". This water nymph here is not meant to be the same one from the movie. The film itself was one of those creations you simply take in and can't help but be inspired by.
It's truly one of the great beauties of this world that beauty and creativity can so naturally foster more of the same. The most touching compliments I have ever received came in the form of another creative being letting me know that something I created or said inspired them to create something of their own, whether it was based on one of my creations or was a creation all its own. This painting is created to honor that passing of the flame from artist to artist.
Stock used to create this piece comes from `lockstock for the nymph and from sxc for the background.

The Nymph by *wolfmorphine is just amazing - the red hair contrasting with the water and white scenery. Just fascinating! (

Well, it's not OK if you chop the figure out of my artwork and use it in your own if that's what you're asking. However, the figure in this piece is based on a stock photo that was created so people could use it as a reference, in their own work, and so forth. Follow the link behind the model's name in my description, go through her gallery, and see if she still has the picture there, maybe?
Heaven forbid I would commit such an atrocity. I wouldn't be much of an artist I meant that I would use a similar scene of a red headed female rising from a pool of blood in a winter forest landscape. Just so happens that there was one reminiscent to my idea. I will use it as something to visualize by eye and not so much with my 'mind's eye' Thanks for your response and you're concern. Happy Holidays!!
Beautiful, but the shading/ shadows/ lighting/ style differs greatly from its' surroundings. The hair is a bit... odd as it seems to dissipate like ink or oil on the water. Very good, none-the-less ;D
Keep up the amazing work!
The red hair in contrast to the winter forest... How pretty. <3
