Sleepy Hollow Revisited

I really wanted to do something very "Halloween-y" for my next piece, so I came up with this. The Legend of Sleepy Hollow has always been one of my very favorite stories, and I love all the movie versions that have been made of it as well... especially around this time of year. I also recently saw the movie Ghost Rider with Nicolas Cage and really loved it... much more than I ever expected to, really. I thought the look of the ghost rider persona was wicked cool, and it's been under my skin ever since. I thought it might be interesting to depict the Headless Horseman character from Sleepy Hollow, yet update the idea and make it different from the other Sleepy Hollow pieces I've seen, so here it is... the Headless Horseman as influenced by Ghost Rider.
